THE VISION I hold for my life and this program: http://wp.me/p1FKJJ-G6
—–
PROGRAMMING:
NEXT SHOW will be published on or about July 18. You will hear music in several segments of top touring indie/DIY/underground songwriters and bands.
RCB Novus Ordo is a separate podcast with 6 songs, one each from a brand new recording. I spin the music and give you the backstory of each artist.

THE LATEST: On a personal level I continue to transform my life and senses with some spiritual text and related info that is presenting a different outlook on life. The outlook contains my vision and also the activities I’d be doing every day, week, month and beyond. I am learning a lot right now and I find myself kicking away the eggshell of what is safe. Sure, it’s not exactly easy when the rent is very late and you’re facing eviction, as I may be if I don’t any work shortly. But this is the sum total of my trust in the universe that things are unfolding just perfectly. I actually do have several job interviews this week and I’m rather grateful for that. Along the radio side of things, I’m continuing to receive great albums, and my library has dwindled as I haven’t requested much new material as of late, but I’ll pick that up again shortly.
VISION page: The essence of the vision for my life is important for me to convey to all of you, so much so that it now has its own page on my website: www.radiocrystalblue.net/vision

RCB REWIND:
RCB Novus Ordo: Latin downtempo recording artist Karina Nistal presents her latest album. Too Slim & The Taildraggers unveil a 2-CD anthology of their blues-rock music. Miss Laurie Ann & The Saddletones present some authentic honky-tonk via New Jersey, of all places.

RCB proper: I was in such a mood to spin some dance oriented music, as it’s just about the time of the year that such music feels appropo. Flashing back to the mid 80’s I gave you music by British soul artists Loose Ends, along with electronic-tinged music from others who are legends: Paul Hardcastle (before he got into his Jazzmasters series), a classic from Afrika Bambaataa, and a latter-day classic from Kraftwerk, timed to the beginning of this year’s Tour de France. Segment 1 features new music by late-blooming Austin (via Montreal) songwriter Ray Bonneville. More new music here from the bluesy Lisa Biales and another cowrite with EG Kight. Ellis and Slaid Cleaves take part in the Riversong Music Festival, 7/18-19 in Hutchinson, MN. I give you 2 segments of music from artists performing at the one-day Huntington (NY) Folk Festival, 7/19. Within the segments are music from recent releases by Gathering Time, Scott Wolfson & Other Heroes, and Paul Sachs. Segment 3: Brand new from Achilles Wheel and The Slambovian Circus of Dreams (welcome back!) highlight this segment. Achilles Wheel and Matt Andersen were part of this past weekend’s WorldFest in California. The fellows in Slambovia present a one-disc anthology of their best. I spun one of the previously unreleased songs on the album. Kirsten Thien & Chastity Brown complete the segment with soul and blues. Segment 5, as usual with a final segment contains more reflective tones. Both Lowland Hum and Heather Styka plan releases of new music for later in 2014.

SUBMISSION GUIDLINES
I focus on CDs as opposed to downloads, though I make exceptions in the event of albums that are digital releases only. Music must have a 2014 release date or not released otherwise before October 2013. All new albums debut on RCB Novus Ordo; on rare exception, some debut on Radio Crystal Blue proper.
I’m also interested in featuring, great compilation or soundtrack albums track-for-track, to help tell the story of those albums.
