This is the latest edition of my periodic news on behalf of Radio Crystal
Blue, my weekly Internet-based freeform podcast. Radio Crystal Blue
continually masters the art of freeform radio, with music from top indie,
underground and touring artists from all across the Web and the Earth at

own. Find the show you want to hear, click the Details tab to download the

and a number of ways to share the audio player
2: My podcast provider: www.bigcontact.com/radiocrystalblu Shows from these
players are kept on the server for about 1 year.
3: www.archive.org Every show I do has its own podcast page URL. Shows here
are kept in perpetuity. Just look for Radio Crystal Blue and Radio Crystal
Blue Novus Ordo, then the date. I use the Sunday date of the week.
4: Stitcher for iPod, iPhone or Android:
Radio Crystal Blue is free to share and listen, in accordance with Creative
Commons License 4.0, full attribution, non-derivative, non-commercial.
Next pair of podcasts will be published late into the week of November 9,
RCB Novus Ordo airs as a separate podcast to highlight songs from brand-new
releases in one sitting, along with bio of each artist.
In addition to the standard fare, CD FOCUS will return to bring
track-by-track featuring of songs by these compilation/concept albums:
Link Of Chain, A Songwriters Tribute To Chris Smither
The Grateful Dead: Wake Up To Find Out live concert from 3/29/1990.
This week I continue to ride out a long period of having no identification,
the ramifications of which are immense. In relation to my show, I’m happy at
least to have a place to call home. The bills are cutting into my meager
savings, so I’m intending some better results. I aim to have a regular
income again and to make some inroads networking without traveling too far
I’m beginning to receive CD packages here, which is a positive step . I
wonder whether you have my new address. It’s posted onto the website, and
I’ll reprint below. I’ve joined the fledgling social network ELLO this week
upon receiving an official invite. The network is small and growing in
small ways. This week it added more options for sharing. I’m at
www.ello.co/radiocblue To join the network you’ll need an invitation code,
so see me for one. My goal is to post more exclusive content than you’ll
expect on other social media platforms.
RCB REWIND: The annotated version of the shows.
RCB Novus Ordo: Hot Rod Pacer is a new folk rock group helmed by
producer-songwriter Fred Gillen Jr. I consider him among the hardest working
men in folk. Long Island NY’s Ray Lambiase returns with another great
collection of songwriter fare. I’m also impressed by the folk trio The Early
Mays, who have their debut on this program as well.
RCB: Program starts with my own audio recording of the local traffic
situation, complete with nbrand new audio traffic control for pedestrians.
Neil Young & Pearl Jam collaborated on a stellar album, and Big Green
Country felt like an appropo place to start my first show outside of the
east coast. The Neko Case tune is a given considering I’m now living just
south of South Tacoma, in Parkland. Segment 1 includes another new tune
from jam band Achilles Wheel, plus a track from The Knollwood Boys, whom I
haven’t heard from since the CD release. Segment 2: Annalise Emerick
releases a new album herself. Segment 3: I absolutely love the new music by
Britt Connors along with her band Bourbon Renewal. One more bit of airplay
for the individual artists who are the No Fuss & Feathers Roadshow. Final
segment: Brother Sun & The Chapin Sisters are a double bill at Outpost In
The Burbs in Montclair NJ on 11/14.
I focus on CDs as opposed to downloads, though I make exceptions in the
event of albums that are digital releases only. Music must have a 2014
release date. All new albums debut on RCB Novus Ordo; on rare exception,
some debut on Radio Crystal Blue proper.
I’m also interested in featuring, great compilation or soundtrack albums
track-for-track, to help tell the story of those album (see above).
