HOW TO LISTEN:
Each show is usually published by Wednesday or Thursday weekly. There are
now two main hubs where to hear Radio Crystal Blue
(1) via Big Contact, my podcast provider: There is a Feed Player at
www.radiocrystalblue.net Just click the link to open it, and select from the
tabs to download and stream the audio from the particular show. You can also
embed the player on your site or blog.
The FeedPlayer is generated with Flash. If you don’t have Flash, you can get
this at
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
These players are also available at www.bigcontact.com/radiocrystalblu which
renders the player as a Web page.
Shows on the FeedPlayers are kept for a year.

(2) via Internet Archive: Each podcast includes a dedicated podcast page on
www.archive.org with similar download, stream and embed links. Just look for
Radio Crystal Blue and the date of the week I published the show (I use the
Sunday date) The shows kept here will remain in perpetuity.

RADIO CRYSTAL BLUE ARCHIVE PROJECT also on www.archive.org Use the search
term Radio Crystal Blue to find older shows from 2004 and 2006, shows that
don’t quite sound like the ones I presently do!

PROGRAMMING:
NEXT SHOW will be published on or about February 29 and will be available
for about 1 year. I usually publish on Wednesdays or as soon as possible
thereafter. You will hear music in several segments of top
indie/DIY/underground songwriters and bands.

RCB Novus Ordo is a separate podcast with 6-8 songs, one each from a brand new
recording. I spin the music and give you the backstory of each artist.

When’s the last time you’ve climbed out of debt to get your budget balanced? Show of hands? In about 2 weeks or so, assuming the job I have is still in place, I will definitely have my own budget balanced. Upon this, I plan to make some short-term progress on some aspects of the vision I keep alluding to. Here’s what the vision looks like now, recently redone:

I never like to talk about a show in advance because it spoils the mystery. If you know you’re going to hear one particular artist, and not listen to others, that defeats my purpose. I will say this much tho: The next podcast I do will be something pretty epic, upon the realization that a certain music conference is upcoming this week, and just about anyone in the genre that you know or one you’ve heard on my show will be there. At least it seems that way! And with that, I’ll shut up and let you quietly anticipate what happens next. Now for a look back at the previous podcast:

RCB REWIND: Eddie Cotton Jr. kicks off here with some above-average blues guitar. JJ Thames brings the classic soul. Dinah Thorpe is debuted with something of a concept album. Dan May is back with a new album. I’m a big fan of his music and the production alongsides from this and his prior album. Ganey Arsement prsents “Americajun” music.

RCB proper: Hear the mountains/journeying theme in Segment 1? That’s what I spontaneously came up with there. Included is more new music from Yarn, & DB Rielly. Paul Sachs is about to release something new, also. Segment 2 got bluesy, then purely rocking thereafter. Segment 3: Jesse Terry & Craig bickhardt split billing at The Song Box in Seaford NY on 2/22. Segment 4: Actor/songwriter Tim Grimm is now part of the RCB rotation. Tim has appeared in Turks, Chicago Code, Detroit 187, JAG, Reasonable Doubts, and most notably in Clear And Present Danger.(FBI agent Dan Murray). Bacon number: 2. Not bad. Back to music: Tim has a very funny song that kicks off the segment. Tim, Danny Schmidt and Carrie Elkin shared billing on February 10th at the Sarasota Peace Center in FL.
